Deirdre Costigan lives in Northolt and is a local school governor who has championed plans to rebuild Northolt High School. She successfully fought for over £100,000 funding to pay for new CCTV cameras to fight crime on the Islip Manor Estate and to install alley gates to stop anti-social behaviour and fly tipping on Carr Road and Ribblesdale Avenue. She has been deeply involved in the ‘Visions for Northolt’ plan, which kicks off with a £7m investment in improvements to the Mandeville Road to reduce congestion and make it easier and safer to walk and cycle.
