Vote_Labour_May_22.jpgEaling Tories have been urged to come clean about their plans for the borough after refusing to reveal their manifesto. They have refused to rule out vicious cuts to community facilities in order to pay for the £80m worth of cuts that are being demanded from their Government.

With only two weeks to go until the local elections Ealing Tories are still refusing to reveal their plans for the borough. However they have revealed expensive pledges that will require cuts to be made.  All the other parties on the council have released detailed manifesto to allow local people to scrutinise their plans. The Ealing Tories have kept quiet about the cuts they have planned.

Ealing Council Leader Julian Bell said:
“It is outrageous that the Tories think they can keep people in the dark like this. They have made incredibly expensive promises but they have refused to say how they will pay for them. They know that to pay for their pledges they will have to make dramatic and unpopular cuts like closing children’s centres, community centres and libraries .

Instead of being upfront with people they are refusing to say what they will do. It is no way to conduct an election campaign and I’m sure local residents will not be fooled. We know that the Tories have secret plans to close children’s centres, libraries and parks. It is incredible that they seem to think they can go into an election without being honest about what they have planned.”
