Shital Manro was first elected as a councillor in 1998 and is a long-established local resident, having moved to North Greenford in 1992. His family moved as refugees to the UK from Uganda in 1972 following Idi Amin’s expulsion.
Shital has served as a school governor for a number of years, including as chair of Governors of Horsenden Primary School and Greenford High School. He is currently Cabinet Member for Good Growth. He is passionate about building genuinely affordable homes and was instrumental in delivering 2,700 genuinely affordable homes across Ealing in the last council term.
